The band Peripheral Bliss asked me to create the packaging for their first CD – Scarlet Sundance. They make ambient electronic music that has a traditional tribal element to it. I tried to convey these aspects of their music by combining tribal imagery with distressed textures and electronic wiring diagrams.
It would be common for the band to play behind a semi-transparent projection screen, one of the members of the band projects video they mix live onto the screen in front of them. I incorporated some of the imagery and textures from their motion graphics into the inner cover of the CD jacket.
Here are a few images of the printed CD in the jewel case once printing was completed.
