I’m proud to announce that my illustration for Rena Jones album Echoes won an Award of Excellence at the Rosey’s this year. If you’d like to see in detail how I made this illustration, please visit the project description.
The five years I’ve been working independently have flown by, so the lively atmosphere at the Rosey Awards was a nice opportunity to catch up with some friends and industry associates I haven’t seen in a while. One of the photographers even caught me by the projection screen chatting up one of my friends.
Here’s a snapshot of my work being projected on the wall in the endless loop of amazing work.
From the information I was able to gather, there were roughly 326 entries in the multiple categories available to enter work. In total there were 69 awards given. Only 11 coveted Rosies were awarded this year.
There were 23 Awards of Excellence and 35 Awards of Merit that were also awarded. I get to share the honor of excellence with several other amazing entries from local legends like Weiden + Kennedy, and Sandstrom Partners as well as some of the newer Portland talent, Jolby and Friends and STRUCK.
