The Dallas based band Pecan Tree hired me to create a new poster for a performance at Holland’s Lounge. I incorporated their ideas along with some stylistic direction I wanted to explore and this is the final result.
Based on historical photographs that were heavily manipulated in photoshop to be used as a guide in the illustration I created for the final poster. I incorporated some photography as well as other vector imagery to add color and additional texture into the illustration. The text is hand lettered in the same cross hatch style as the rest of the illustration.
